Vitamin C (patented formula)
This product is Vegan, Cruelty-free, GMO-Free and 100% natural.
Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant but needs to be supplemented as it is not created by the body (Your diet does provide some but not nearly enough) whereas Vitamin E is naturally produced by the body but is upregulated when Vitamin C is in surplus. When aging is discussed, antioxidants are a vital factor that needs to be taken into consideration.
Antioxidants actively work against free radicals that are found in our bodies. “Free radicals” is a general term used for substances that are highly reactive. They bind to normal cells in the body, disrupting and damaging them. Free radicals are introduced into our bodies by factors such as cigarette smoke, the sun, unnatural consumables and these most often implicated in cell damage that leads to aging as well as cancer. Antioxidants are substances that fight against free radicals by inhibiting oxidation. These compounds bind to and neutralize free radicals, helping to repair the skin and tissue from deep within.
Vitamin C is the most important element in the production of collagen in our bodies. Collagen is an essential protein that keeps your skin firm and toned. As we age collagen production slows and the formation of fine lines and wrinkles start to become visible. Collagen is also an important element in the health of the connective tissue throughout your body. Vitamin C plays an essential part in the incorporation of proline into collagen and is also involved in the formation of elastin. With a deficiency of vitamin C impaired collagen is created and the skin can actually become more wrinkled.
So simply put, your body cannot form collagen without Vitamin C and without collagen, the overall quality of your skin is going to decline exponentially. The addition of vitamin C will boost the creation of collagen in the body and because of this enhanced production of collagen your skin will start to look and feel better, you can prevent or even reverse some of the signs of aging as well as contribute to your overall health.
